DIMENSIONAL QUATRAIN
During the Digital Air residence we’ve talked a lot about how digital 3d space can mimic, supplement and augment our physical and social space.
In my project - Dimensional quatrain - I focus on augmentation and I push the boundaries for 3D space construction away from design and towards analytical implementation.
The subject of my analysis here is a poem by Dmitry Prigov that captures a thin uncanny feeling towards space that one feels occasionally.
Seems that air has got a bit crooked
You take off in a certain direction
But you move in a different direction
But you move in a different direction
With no way to return to point A
Though sometimes you come back noting ‘Hey..’
Your own house has got a bit crooked
And it feels in a different direction

With Dimensional Quatrain My goal with Dimensional Quatrain is to rewrite and represent this poem, keeping its short though very capasious imagery but with the means of general 3D artists tools.
I try to rhyme the architecture the way poet rhymes his lines and together with the visitor we can dive inside at the poems structure, sound, typography and imagery
